Nel 2013 ha affrontato Adonis Stevenson per la cintura WBC dei pesi mediomassimi, è stato sconfitto per KO.

Ha vinto la cintura WBC dei pesi massimi leggeri il 29 maggio 2016 contro Ilunga Makambu. Dopo due vittorie per KO ai danni di David Haye affronta l'indiscusso campione dei pesi massimi leggeri Oleksandr Usyk, il 10 novembre 2018. Viene sconfitto per KO all'ottavo round.

Si ritira poco dopo l'incontro con Usyk, all'età di 36 anni.


Vita Personale


Ha recitato come attore nel film Creed, della saga di Rocky. Dopo il ritiro ha ottenuto un ruolo come conduttore tecnico televisivo per DAZN boxing.

Anthony Lewis Bellew (born 30 November 1982) is an English former professional boxer who competed from 2007 to 2018, and has since worked as a boxing analyst and commentator. He held the WBC cruiserweight title from 2016 to 2017, and challenged for the undisputed cruiserweight championship in his final fight. At regional level, he held the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles between 2010 and 2014, the European cruiserweight title from 2015 to 2016, and is a three-time ABA heavyweight champion as an amateur.[2] He portrayed antagonist boxer Ricky Conlan in the 2015 Rocky film Creed.
