L'Estadio Hiram Bithorn est un stade de baseball situé à San Juan à Porto Rico. Cette enceinte inaugurée en 1962 est également utilisée comme stade de football depuis 2008. Les Expos de Montréal, en mal de spectateurs au Québec, jouèrent 22 rencontres « à domicile » dans cette enceinte en 2003-2004. En 2006 et 2009, ce stade accueille des matches de la Classique mondiale de baseball. L'Estadio Hiram Bithorn est souvent le théârte des Séries des Caraïbes et a également abrité des matches de boxe et des concerts. Le match d'ouverture de la saison MLB en 2001 s'est tenu dans cette enceinte.

    Das Estadio Hiram Bithorn ist ein Baseballstadion in San Juan, der Hauptstadt von Puerto Rico, das seit 2008 auch für Fußball genutzt wird. Es ist das Heimstadion der Cangrejeros de Santurce und der San Juan Senators aus der Liga de Béisbol Profesional de Puerto Rico sowie der Atléticos de San Juan und von Academia Quintana aus der Puerto Rico Soccer League. Bis 2004 beheimatete das Hiram Bithorn auch die Senadores de San Juan, bevor diese als Lobos nach Arecibo abwanderten. Neben Baseball- und Fußballspielen ist es auch Austragungsort für andere Sport- und Großveranstaltungen wie Boxkämpfe oder Konzerte. Es fasst rund 18.000 Zuschauer. Das 1962 errichtete Stadion ist nach Hiram Bithorn benannt, einem Pitcher aus Santurce, der der erste Spieler aus Puerto Rico wurde, der es in die Major League Baseball (MLB) schaffte.

    Hiram Bithorn Stadium (Spanish: Estadio Hiram Bithorn) is a baseball park in San Juan, Puerto Rico, built in 1962 and designed by Puerto Rican architect Pedro Miranda.[1] It is operated by the municipal government of the city of San Juan. Its name honors the first Puerto Rican to play in the major leagues, Hiram Bithorn, who first played with the Chicago Cubs in 1942. Built in 1962, under the mayoral administration of Felisa Rincón de Gautier, replacing Estadio Sixto Escobar, the stadium is home to the Santurce Crabbers, of the Puerto Rico Baseball League. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.[2]
