Alper Yılmaz (28 March 1975, Ankara), one of the successful names of Turkish basketball, is the General Director of Anadolu Efes Sports Club, competing in the Turkish Super League and the EuroLeague.

Alper Yılmaz, who became the General Director of Anadolu Efes Sports Club in 2015, has been served as a manager at Anadolu Efes Sports Club since 2009. Yılmaz started his basketball career at Ormanspor in Ankara in 1986 and represented Turkey in National Team 118 times.
Alper Yılmaz started playing basketball at the age of 9 in Ankara. He played for Ormanspor, Türk Telekom and Tofaş. He played for Tofaş during the most successful period of the team. However, he signed with Efes Pilsen in 2000 when the Bursa team decided to focus on their investments to youth teams and withdraw from the league. He played for Efes Pilsen for 6 seasons and became the captain of the team. He returned to Türk Telekom, the club in which he made his debut, during the 2006-2007 season. Alper Yılmaz, who was then transferred to TTNet Beykoz, played for Erdemirspor in the 2008-2009 season. He is especially known for his success in defense.

Alper Yılmaz succeeded in joining the senior team at the age of 16. He was given the nickname “Kelepçe” meaning handcuff in English because of his outstanding performance in defense.
Alper Yılmaz has Type A Basketball Coach License is responsible for club management, coordination of financial affairs and marketing departments, contract preparations and organizations at Anadolu Efes Sports Club.
Alper Yılmaz, who graduated from Anadolu University Business Management Department in 2013, completed his Sports Management and Marketing Master's Program at Ca'Foscari University in Venice, Italy in 2014. A member of Anadolu Efes Sports Club, Yılmaz is also a member of TÜBAD Turkish Basketball Coaches Association.
Alper Yılmaz has been selected as "Best Executive of the Year" in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons.

The Gianluigi Porelli EuroLeague Executive of the Year has been awarded annually since 2005 and is one of the competition's two annual post-season honors, along with the Alexander Gomelskiy Coach of the Year Trophy.
