Zabala was called up on June 11, 2022.[1] He made his debut on June 12, against the Houston Astros.[2] He pitched 0.2 innings, with a hit and a strikeout.[3] He was designated for assignment on June 13, 2022. He had his contract selected on August 1, 2022 and was designated for assignment on August 6. He had his contract selected again on September 12, 2022, as the 29th man for a double-header but was designated for assignment in between games. He elected free agency on October 6, 2022.
