Carly Marie Nelson (born February 11, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Danish club FC Nordsjælland, on loan from Kansas City.

Nelson played with Utah Utes from 2016 to 2019.[3]
Nelson signed with OL Reign of the American National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in 2020.[4]
In 2021, Nelson made her NWSL debut for Kansas City, she played 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw, where she faced 10 shots. [5]
She was loaned to Danish club FC Nordsjælland on August 24, 2021.[6]
Nelson was born in Lindon, Utah, and is an openly gay athlete. Before turning full time soccer player, she played basketball, tennis and did gymnastics. Nelson is an ex-Mormon and speaks openly about her journey to freedom from the religion.[7]
