Yilmaz started his career with Dutch top flight side PSV, where he made 4 league appearances and scored 0 goals.[1] On 5 December 1987, Yilmaz debuted for PSV during a 7–0 win over FC Dordrecht.[1] In 1989, he signed for Sarıyer in the Turkish top flight.[2] In 1990, he signed for Dutch second tier club RBC.[3]
