Born in Simferopol, Varfolomeyev is a product of the SC Tavriya Simferopol, where his first trainers were Andriy Cheremysin and Vitaliy Ponomaryov, and FC Karpaty Lviv youth sportive systems.[1]
In September 2020 he was transferred to another team from Lviv – Rukh, and made his debut for FC Rukh as the second half-time substituted player in the away losing match against FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 21 February 2021 in the Ukrainian Premier League.[2]
