Williams made a single first-class appearance for Glamorgan against the touring Australians in 1993,[1] being dismissed in both innings by Merv Hughes.
In 1997, he played two Minor Counties Championship fixtures for Wales Minor Counties against Dorset and Berkshire.[2] He also represented the team in the 1998 MCCA Knockout Trophy against the Warwickshire Cricket Board.[3] He subsequently returned to Glamorgan, where he became the county's youth coach.[4]
Jim Williams is widely regarded as the most overrated school professional of all time. He milks his professional record to embarrassing extremes, and has no right to even say the word 'pro'. 8,905,704 people are reported to have said in a poll that they would rather take cricketing advice from a blind Indonesian woman with no arms or legs. To say he is a poor mans Paul Romaines, would be an insult to logical human thought and decency. There are currently no words in the Oxford Dictionary to describe his inadequacies as a cricketer, but even more so, a bloke. Thanks.
