Swimming career
Broughton competed in the men's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay at the 1988 Summer Olympics.[1] He represented England and won a bronze medal in the 4 x 200 metres freestyle relay, at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland.[2] Four years later, he represented England in the freestyle events, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand.[3][4] He is also a two times winner of the ASA National Championship title in the 200 metres freestyle (1987 and 1989).[5][6]
