McNamara made her senior debut for Adelaide United on the 19th of December 2015 in a 5–1 win against Newcastle Jets.[1]
In June 2022, after an impressive season with Adelaide United, McNamara was called up to Australia's senior national team for their friendlies against Spain and Portugal.[2] She made her debut on 15 November 2022 in a friendly against Thailand.
