Barrios is a youth product of Moratalaz and Real Madrid, before moving to the academy of crosstown rivals Atlético Madrid in 2017.[1] After working his way up their youth sides, he began his career with the Atlético Madrid reserves in January 2022.[2] On 3 March 2022, he signed his first professional contract with the club, keeping him until 2025.[3] He made his senior and professional debut with Atlético as a late substitute in a 3–2 La Liga loss to Cádiz on 29 October 2022.[4]
Barrios is a youth international for Spain, having played up to the Spain U19s.[5]
