Bosshard joined Basel's first team in their 1946–47 season. He played his domestic league debut for the club in the away game on 28 June 1947 as Basel were beaten 3–1 by Grenchen.[2] Between the years 1946 and 1948 Bossard played a total of three games for Basel without scoring a goal. One of these games were in the Nationalliga A and two were friendly games.[3]
Following his time in Basel, Bossard joined Vevey-Sports who played in the second tier of Swiss football at that time.
(NB: Despite all efforts, the editors of these books and the authors in "Basler Fussballarchiv" have failed to be able to identify all the players, their date and place of birth or date and place of death, who played in the games during the early years of FC Basel)
