Zach Dean is a Canadian ice hockey centre currently playing for the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) as a prospect for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights with the 30th overall pick of the draft.

Dean was selected by the Golden Knights 30th overall in the first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, and signed his three-year entry-level contract on December 2nd, 2021.[1] He plays junior hockey with the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL, having been named to the QMJHL All-Rookie Team for the 2019-20 season.
Dean appeared for the Canada Black team at the 2019 World U-17 Hockey Challenge, recording 5 points in 7 games.
