Carrière

Passé professionnel en 2014, il remporte le titre vacant de champion du monde des poids mi-lourds WBA le 4 novembre 2017 après sa victoire par KO au 1^er round contre Trent Broadhurst[1]. Bivol conserve son titre le 3 mars 2018 contre Sullivan Barrera par arrêt de l'arbitre au 12^e round et le 4 août 2018 aux points face à Isaac Chilemba. Il récidive le 24 novembre suivant face à Jean Pascal, ancien champion WBC de la catégorie, aux points et le 9 mars contre Joe Smith Jr, toujours aux points.

Le boxeur russe conserve son invincibilité le 12 octobre 2019 en battant Lenin Castillo pour la cinquième défense de son titre mondial. Il récidive le 1^er mai 2021 en battant aux points Craig Richards et le 11 décembre suivant en dominant Umar Salamov de la même manière.

Le 7 mai 2022, Bivol bat Canelo Álvarez à l'unanimité des juges 115-113 à Las Vegas[2]. Il domine ensuite aux points Gilberto Ramírez, ancien champion WBO des super-moyens, le 5 novembre 2022[3]^,[4].
