Cet international irakien est, avec 126 sélections, le second joueur ayant été le plus sélectionné en équipe d'Irak. Avec 78 buts, il détient également le record du nombre de buts inscrits en sélection nationale.
Il a participé au Mondial 1986, au Mexique, la seule Coupe du monde où l'Irak était qualifiée.
Il est actuellement président de la Fédération irakienne de football.

Hussein Saeed Mohammed[1] (Arabic: حسين سعيد محمد , born 21 January 1958) is a retired Iraqi footballer who played as a forward for the Iraqi Premier League club Al-Talaba and the Iraqi national team and is a former president of the Iraq Football Association. Saeed is in seventh place in the list of top international goal scorers, with 78 goals.[2] Along with Ahmed Radhi, he is considered to be the best Iraqi player of the 20th century and features in 25th place in Asia's Best Players of the Century list.[3] Hussein is currently the Iraqi national team's highest scoring player with 78 goals.[4][es] Hussein Saeed
Hussein Saeed Mohammed Al-Ubaidi (en árabe, حسين سعيد محمد العبيدي; Al Adhamiya, Bagdad, 21 de enero de 1958) es un exfutbolista iraquí que jugó como delantero para el club Al-Talaba SC iraquí de la Premier League y el equipo nacional iraquí y es un expresidente de la Asociación de Fútbol de Irak. Junto con Ahmed Radhi, se lo considera el mejor jugador iraquí del siglo XX y ocupa el lugar 25 en la lista de Mejores Jugadores del Siglo de Asia.[1] El 24 de abril de 1987, Saeed rompió el récord de Falah Hassan y se convirtió en el jugador iraquí con más partidos con 110 partidos.
