Il inscrira au total 15 buts lors de ses 16 sélections entre 1923 et 1932. Sporel est également le meilleur buteur turc de l'histoire avec 470 buts en 322 matches, tous pour le compte de son unique club : Fenerbahçe. Il inscrira même un jour 8 buts en un seul match, ce qui constitue un autre record non battu.

Lors de tous les matchs Fenerbahce-Galatasaray qu'il a disputé, il inscrit un total de 35 buts.

Zeki Rıza Sporel (28 February 1898 – 3 November 1969)[1] was a Turkish football player. He plied his trade at the striker position for Fenerbahçe and the Turkey national football team. His career started in the Fenerbahçe youth teams until he was promoted to the senior team. Zeki spent his entire career with the club, setting numerous records. He was also a forerunner for Turkey, becoming the first player to score for the team. He is often cited as one of the best strikers in Turkish football history.[2] He was also active in politics as he became a member of the Democrat Party in 1946.[3]
