Biografia
Durante la sua carriera giunse in finale nel singolare all'Australasian Championships nel 1946 perdendo contro Nancye Wynne in due set (6-4, 6-4).[1]
Nel 1950 venne fermata da Louise Brough alle semifinali come l'anno successivo nel 1951 da Thelma Coyne. Nel doppio vinse gli Australian Open nel 1946 esibendosi con Mary Bevis contro la copia formata da Nancye Wynne e Thelma Coyne per 9-7, 6-4. Nel 1947 giunse in finale sempre con Mary Bevis ma questa volta le sue avversarie ottennero la vendetta vincendole in un doppio 6-3.
Sposò John Oliver Rymer nel 1951.[2]

Joyce Fitch Rymer (née Fitch; 3 April 1922 – 26 July 2012[1][2]) was a tennis player from Australia who reached the women's singles final of the 1946 Australian Championships, losing to Nancye Wynne Bolton 6–4, 6–4.[3] She teamed with Mary Bevis Hawton to win the women's doubles title at the 1946 Australian Championships,[4] defeating Bolton and Thelma Coyne Long in the final 9–7, 6–4.[5] Rymer and Hawton reached the women's doubles final at the 1947 and 1951 Australian Championships, losing both years to the Bolton-Long team. In 1946, 1947 and 1949 she reached the finals of the Australian Championships in mixed doubles with partner, John Bromwich and again in 1950 with Eric Sturgess, losing all four times.[6]- [it] Joyce Fitch
