History

In 2013, the stadium played host to the PNG vs Australia PM's XIII, the stadium will be home to the PNG Hunters in the Queensland Cup in 2014. [1][2][3] In October 2014 the stadium will host the 2014 OFC Women's Nations Cup.

Das Kalabond Oval ist ein Rugby- und Fußballstadion in der papua-neuguineischen Stadt Kokopo, East New Britain Province.[1] Es ist die Heimstätte der Rugby-League-Mannschaft der Rabaul Gurias sowie den PNG Hunters und der papua-neuguineischen Rugby-League-Nationalmannschaft und hat eine Kapazität von 7.000 Plätzen. Andere Quellen sprechen nur von 3.000 Plätzen.[2] Es steht am Fuß eines aktiven Vulkans, dem Tavurvur.
