Das Bingu National Stadium ist ein multifunktionelles Stadion in Lilongwe, Central Region, Malawi. Es wird meistens für Fußballspiele verwendet. Das Stadion hat eine Kapazität von 41.100 Plätzen.[1] Das Stadion wurde offiziell am 28. Januar 2017 vom Präsidenten von Malawi, Professor Peter Mutharika, eröffnet. Das erste Spiel im Stadion war eine Begegnung zwischen Nyasa Big Bullets FC und Be Forward Wanderers FC am 2. Januar 2017, die die Wanderers mit 2:1 gewannen. Der Bau startete Mitte 2013 und wurde Ende 2016 beendet.[en] Bingu National Stadium
Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe is the national stadium of Malawi. It is used for football matches and also has an athletics track. It hosts the home games of the Malawi national football team. It holds 41,100 people.[2] It is named after former Malawian president Bingu wa Mutharika. This stadium became Ethiopian Football Federation home arena. This follows Ethiopian Football Federation request to CAF to use BNS as their national stadium is banned to host international matches for lacking minimum requirements as per the CAF Club Licensing criteria.[3]- [fr] Bingu National Stadium
