Das Gelora-Sriwijaya-Stadion (indonesisch Stadion Gelora Sriwijaya, auch Stadion Jakabaring genannt) ist ein Fußballstadion in der indonesischen Stadt Palembang, Provinz Sumatra Selatan. Es bietet Platz für 23.000 Zuschauer.[1] Es wurde von 2001 bis 2004 für die Austragung der indonesischen Nationalspiele Pekan Olahraga Nasional XVI errichtet. Ursprünglich wurde die Anlage nach seinem Standort im gleichnamigen Außenbezirk Palembangs Jakabaring-Stadion genannt. Später erfolgte zu Ehren des vom 7. bis zum 13. Jahrhundert bestehenden Reichs Srivijaya die Umbenennung in Gelora-Sriwijaya-Stadion. Derzeit wird das Stadion hauptsächlich vom Fußballverein Sriwijaya FC für seine Heimspiele aus.[en] Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium
Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, also known as Jakabaring Stadium (Indonesian: Stadion Gelora Sriwijaya; literally "Sriwijaya Sports Arena Stadium"), is a multi-purpose stadium located in Jakabaring Sport City complex in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 23,000 spectators.[1] The construction began in 2001 and finished in 2004 to host the 2004 Indonesia National Games.[2] The stadium was initially named as Jakabaring stadium after the location of the stadium in southern outskirt of Palembang. However, later the stadium was renamed "Gelora Sriwijaya", to honor and celebrate the 7th—13th century Indonesian empire of Srivijaya. The Third Place Playoff of the 2007 AFC Asian Cup was held in this stadium. The football club Sriwijaya is based at the stadium.[3]- [fr] Stade Gelora-Sriwijaya
