Búhos ULVR Fútbol Club, formerly called Guayaquil Sport Club is an Ecuadorian football club based in Guayaquil. It was the first football club in the country, has founded on April 23, 1899[1] by Juan Wright and Roberto Wright, the two brothers who brought the sport to the country.

The club's only title came in the amateur era of Guayaquil football, when it won the regional league in 1943. It also played one season the top-flight Serie A in 1973,[2] where it finished 12th. The club ceased operation in 1990 after 91 years of existence and has refounded on February 5, 2014.^{[citation needed]}

In 2020 after 45 years they return to the Serie B of Ecuador

Los Búhos ULVR Fútbol Club, antes llamado Guayaquil Sport Club, es una entidad deportiva de la ciudad ecuatoriana de Guayaquil. Fue fundado como club de fútbol el 23 de abril de 1899 por los primeros aficionados a ese deporte de la ciudad, liderados por los hermanos Juan Alfredo y Roberto Wright, esto convierte a Guayaquil Sport en el "Decano del fútbol ecuatoriano". El Guayaquil Sport, también conocido según algunas fuentes como Club Sport Guayaquil,[3] fue el primer club de fútbol creado en el Ecuador, iniciando la práctica de ese deporte en el país un año después de su creación con la aparición de otros equipos en la ciudad y los primeros torneos locales de tipo amateur.
