History
In 2015, River Plate were crowned champions on the División Intermedia and were promoted to the Primera División Paraguaya for the 2016 season.[2][3]

El club River Plate es una institución deportiva paraguaya destacada por la práctica de fútbol, con sede en el barrio Mburicaó de la ciudad de Asunción. Fundado en 1911, en la temporada 2018 logró el título de campeón de la Segunda División, por lo que desde el 2019 compite en la Primera División de Paraguay.[1] Su regreso a la máxima categoría del fútbol paraguayo se produjo tras 3 años.
