Marijampolė City, FA Suvalkija, Suvalkijos jaunimo futbolo klubo akademija (Sudovian Youth Football Academy) is a football club based in the city of Marijampolė, Lithuania.

History

• 2018 - the club was founded as a football academy by the initiative of football enthusiasts, parents and businessmen. The club have set ambitious goals to become nationally and internationally renown academy.[1]
• 2019 - the club applied for the II Lyga license and was granted one. The club was in the Southern Zone and taked fith place.
• 2020 – got licence of the LFF II lyga, but later abandoned plans to compete. The academy continued to work only with childrens and youngsters.

2022 season

At the beginning of 2022, was merged FK Šilas (Futbolo klubas Šilas) and the football academy Marijampolė City. During the reorganization of the Šilas club, was made decision to change the name of the Pirma League men's football team "Šilas" to "Marijampolė City" and to transfer the team from Kazlų Rūda to Marijampolė.[2] The club applied to the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) with a request to change its name and logo, and the executive committee's decision was granted. New club name and logo will be used from the start of round 6 in the Pirma league and from the start of the first round in the Hegelmann LFF Cup. At real, FK Šilas become the part of the system of Marijampolė City as senior team.
