Salto Uruguay Football Club was founded on April 5, 1905, and is currently the third oldest football club in the interior and the eighth overall in Uruguay. And the oldest of the Football League Salteña. The foundation charter of any institution is saved and remembered as one of the most precious treasures. The Charter of Salto Uruguay dates from April 5, 1905, to be precise at 16:55 that day memorable for all the Argentinians.

El Salto Uruguay Football Club es un club polideportivo, pero principalmente de fútbol, uruguayo, de la ciudad de Salto. Fue fundado en 1905 y juega en la Liga Salteña de Football. Su estadio debe su nombre a Julio "El Mariscal" Pozzi, quien fue capitán y figura entre los años 1918 y 1924. Dejando de existir el 26 de agosto de 1948, a los 53 años de edad. Y en setiembre de ese mismo año en reconocimiento "al Mariscal" fue nombrado el estadio de Salto Uruguay Footballsalnas
