Historia

Fue fundado en el año 1974 en la ciudad de Bedok como International Contract Specialists, el cual solamente usó por 1 año, al que cambiaron por el de Geylang International, el cual usaron hasta el año 1996, cuando lo cambiaron por el de Geylang United, nombre que usaron hasta el año 2012 por el que llevan actualmente. Es conocido por ser el primer equipo campeón de la S.League bajo el nuevo nombre en 1996.

Es uno de los equipos más ganadores de Singapur con 11 títulos de Liga, aunque solo 2 bajo el formato de la S.League y 9 torneos de Copa. A nivel internacional ha participado en 10 torneos continentales, donde su mejor participación ha sido en la Copa de la AFC del año 2004, donde fue eliminado en las Semifinales por el Al-Wahda de Siria.

Der Geylang International Football Club ist ein Fußballverein aus Singapur. Er spielt in der höchsten Liga Singapurs, der S. League. Der Verein ist ansässig im Stadtteil Bedok. Von 1996 bis 2012 war der Verein als Geylang United Football Club aktiv, zur Saison 2013 nahm man wieder den alten Vereinsnamen an.

They played their first season in 1974, winning the FAS Division Three League which earns a spot in National Football League Division One the following year.
