Casper "Cap" Boso (born September 10, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri) is a former professional American football player who played tight end for six seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears. His football career ended during the 1991 season due to a series of knee injuries. Cap played his college ball at the University of Illinois. During the 1986 draft, 9 players were drafted from Illinois, the most by any team in that draft.

Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 8th round of the 1986 NFL Draft, Cap was cut by the Steelers and signed by the St. Louis Cardinals where he played in 2 games in 1986. In 1987, Cap was put on waivers by St. Louis and picked up by The Chicago Bears. Where he enjoyed great success as a favored receiving target of quarterback Jim Harbaugh. Cap attended the same school, Saint Matthew Catholic School in Indianapolis IN (K-8), as Nick Martin of the Houston Texans, Zack Martin of the Dallas Cowboys, and Ted Karras of the Miami Dolphins.

Cap has earned fame due to the Nintendo Football game, Tecmo Bowl. His button hook pass play was known to be unstoppable and compared to the advantage you get when using Bo Jackson and the Raiders. During the 90's when Tecmo Bowl was played in tournaments, they actually would not allow players to use the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Raiders due to Bo Jackson and Cap Boso's play calls that gave the player an "unfair" advantage.
