The club was founded in 1947 and is part of the University Sport Society USD Bosna[1] (Bosnian: Univerzitetsko Sportsko Društvo Bosna), founded same year. This club is one of the oldest in the society.
History
The club played its first match on 12 December 1947. For the first few years there were competing in the Republic Leagues, though they were folded in 1951. The club managed to compete at national level in the disputed Yugoslav Second League. In 1968–69 the club reached the third place of the Zone South of the Second League. Afterwards the club will be relegated into lower leagues. With the establishment of the BiH League, FK Bosna competed in the second division from the start. It currently plays in the lower tier-Cantonal League of the Football Association of Sarajevo Canton,.
Players
Some of the best and most notable players that played for the club were and worth mentioning were Želimir Vidović, Said Fazlagić, Branislav Petričević, Nijaz Brković, Šener Bajramović, Damir Mirvić and Nijaz Mulahmetović. One of the most famous singers in Bosnia, Muhamed Fazlagić has played for Bosna for several years as a center back. FK Bosna is also known for its youth academy. Nowadays the Youth Academy is headed by Samir Jahić and Senadin Slato.
