Starting his career in the lower levels in Slovenia and Switzerland, he joined Slovenian top division club Maribor in the summer of 2021.[2] He made his league debut on 18 July 2021 against Celje,[3] and scored his first goal for Maribor in July 2021 against Urartu in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers.[4]
