George Goddard (20 December 1903 – 1987) was a professional footballer who played as a centre forward in the 1920s and 1930s, notably with Queens Park Rangers F.C., for whom he scored 174 Football League goals.[1] After leaving QPR he had spells with Brentford, Wolves, Sunderland, and Southend United.At QPR, he scored the most league goals in total aggregate, most league goals in a season (with 37 in 1929-30) and scored 4 goals in a single match on 4 separate occasions (this has only been matched by Tommy Cheetham).
