Jaime Mohamad Fathi Ashor Siaj Romero (Arabic: جيمي محمد فتحي‎ عاشور سياج روميرو; born 16 December 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Irish club Finn Harps. Born in Spain, Siaj represented Jordan internationally in 2018.

Youth and college


Siaj is a youth product of ED Mortalaz and Real Madrid.[2]

Between 2014 and 2016, he played three years of college soccer at Pfeiffer University. Siaj made a total of 69 appearances, scoring 47 goals and tallying 28 assists in his time at Pfeiffer.[3]

While at college, Siaj also appeared for Premier Development League side Charlotte Eagles in 2016.[4]


Club career



Charlotte Independence


On 17 January 2017, Siaj was selected in the third round (45th overall) in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft by Colorado Rapids.[5][6] On 12 April 2017, Siaj signed with Colorado's United Soccer League affiliate club Charlotte Independence.[7]


Oklahoma City Energy


On 6 February 2018, Siaj signed with OKC Energy FC for the 2018 season.[8]


Tampa Bay Rowdies


Siaj joined the Tampa Bay Rowdies on 4 February 2019. He had previously been on trial with the Rowdies during the 2017 Florida Cup.[9]


Inter de Madrid


In January 2020, Siaj moved to Spanish Segunda División B side Inter de Madrid.[10]


Ansar


On 29 December 2021, Lebanese Premier League side Ansar announced the signing of Siaj.[11]


Finn Harps


On 2 September 2022, Siaj signed for League of Ireland Premier Division club Finn Harps until the end of their season in November.[12][13] He made his debut on the same day, coming off the bench to replace Filip Mihaljević in the 89th minute of a 2–1 defeat away to St Patrick's Athletic at Richmond Park.[14]


International career


Eligible to represent the Jordan internationally due to his father's heritage, Siaj was called-up to the national team on 11 May 2018, for two friendly games against Cyprus and China.[15]
