Alexander went to high school at Cardinal Newman High School, in Santa Rosa, California, and attended college at California State University, Long Beach and Menlo College.[1]
Alexander signed with the Los Angeles Angels as an undrafted free agent in 2017.[2] Alexander worked his way through the Angels minor league system from 2017-2019, and after the cancelled 2020 season, was released by the team. Alexander was then signed as a free agent by the Miami Marlins, and played in their minor league system throughout the 2021 season. After the season, Alexander elected free agency, and was signed by the Milwaukee Brewers. Alexander started the season with the Triple-A Nashville Sounds, but was promoted to the Major Leagues on June 1, and made his debut later that day. [3][4]
Alexander's older brother, Scott, is a pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization and previously pitched for the Kansas City Royals and the Los Angeles Dodgers.[1]
