He served as the head coach at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania from 1951 to 1954, compiling a record of 10–20–1.[1] Shrive also served as an assistant coach at Syracuse University where he was a member of the school's 1959 national championship staff.[2] He also served as the head coach for Syracuse freshman football team, then called theTangerines.[3]
