He made his first-class debut on 14 December 2020, for Northern, in the 2020–21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.[2] In the second innings of the match, he scored his maiden century in first-class cricket, with 164 runs.[3] In December 2020, he was shortlisted as one of the Men's Emerging Cricketer of the Year for the 2020 PCB Awards.[4]
In January 2021, he was named in Northern's squad for the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup.[5][6] He made his List A debut on 8 January 2021, for Northern, in the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup.[7] In December 2021, he was signed by Islamabad United following the players' draft for the 2022 Pakistan Super League.[8] In December 2021, following the conclusion of the 2021–22 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, he was named as the player of the tournament.[9]
