Patrick Wimmer (born 30 May 2001) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg and the Austria national team.[2]

On 13 April 2022, Wimmer signed a five-year contract with VfL Wolfsburg, beginning with the 2022–23 season.[3]
Wimmer was called up to the senior Austria squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia, Denmark, France and Denmark on 3, 6, 10 and 13 June 2022.[4]
