Percy Rojas Montero (born September 16, 1949) is a retired football midfielder from Peru. He played on Selección de fútbol de Perú at two FIFA World Cups (1978 and 1982). He played in the 1975 Copa América Finals with the Peru national team.

Professional career

At the professional level he played for Universitario de Deportes, Independiente (Argentina), Sporting Cristal and Sérésien (Belgium). When he was with Indepndentiente they won the 1975 Copa Libertadores Cup, the Primera División del Perú with Universitario (1967, 1969, 1971, 1974 and 1982) and two more with Sporting Cristal (1979, 1980).

International career

Rojas made 49 appearances with the Selección de fútbol de Perú from 1969 to 1979.[1]

He has become a television commentator.^{[citation needed]}

Percy Rojas Montero (Lima, 16 de septiembre de 1949), más conocido como el "Trucha Rojas", es un exfutbolista peruano, que se desempeñaba como delantero y mediocampista. Es considerado uno de los mejores delanteros peruanos de la historia y uno de los máximos ídolos y referentes del club Universitario de Deportes, del cual es el tercer máximo goleador histórico con 119 goles. En dicho equipo jugó durante 10 temporadas, en las que ganó seis campeonatos nacionales y obtuvo un subcampeonato de Copa Libertadores. Su mayor trascendencia deportiva también la logró en los clubes Sporting Cristal e Independiente de Avellaneda. Con este último se consagró campeón de la Copa Libertadores en 1975. Integró la Selección de fútbol del Perú que conquistó la Copa América 1975 y alcanzó la segunda ronda en la Copa Mundial de Fútbol de 1978.
