Ben Seghir made his professional debut for Nice in a 3–1 Ligue 1 loss to Dijon on 29 November 2020, coming on as a late sub.[1]
On 22 June 2021, Ben Seghir signed a contract to join fellow Ligue 1 club Marseille. More than nine months after his arrival at La Canebière, Salim Ben Seghir took his first steps in an official match in the jersey of OM in the victory against Montpellier HSC (2-0, 31st day of Ligue 1). Facing Montpellier HSC, while the match was folded, Jorge Sampaoli decided to launch the young 19-year-old winger in the last minutes, replacing Amine Harit. A nice reward for one of the biggest hopes of Olympique de Marseille .
Born in France, Ben Saghir is of Moroccan descent.[2] He is a youth international for France.
Ben Seghir is the older brother of the footballer Eliesse Ben Seghir.[3]
