Born in The Hague, Dekker came through the ADO Den Haag youth system and joined former Den Haag coach Maurice Steijn at VVV-Venlo in 2016.[1]
Dekker was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch father, and a South Korean mother.[2] He played 4 matches for the Netherlands U-16.[3]
