Born in Évry, France, Bondo began playing football aged four at VESC 91. He then played for several clubs, namely Corbeil-Essonnes, Viry-Châtillon and Brétigny, before being spotted by Nancy, whom he joined in 2018.[2]
Bondo signed his first professional contract with the club in August 2019, becoming youngest player ever in club history to do so.[3][4] He made his professional debut on 24 November 2020 in a 1–0 Ligue 2 defeat against Grenoble;[5] he replaced Dorian Bertrand in the 73rd minute of the game and was sent off 14 minutes later.[6]
On 10 June 2022, Bondo announced his departure from Nancy, deciding not to extend his expiring contract, following the club's relegation to Championnat National.[7]
On 28 July 2022, Bondo signed for newly-promoted Serie A side Monza on a three-year contract.[8] He made his Monza (and Serie A) debut on 30 August, as a substitute in a 3–0 away defeat to Roma.[9]
Born in France, Bondo could also choose to represent DR Congo or Congo Republic internationally due to his origins.[4] He has represented his native country at several youth international levels.[10]
In June 2022, Bondo was included in the France national under-19 team that took part in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship,[11] where the Bleuets reached the semi-finals before losing to eventual runners-up Israel.[12]
Bondo's father is from DR Congo, while his mother is from Congo Republic.[4]
