Wellington moved to Greece in March 2003, initially joining Apollon Kalamarias F.C. on a two-year contract. In February 2005, he extended his stay with Apollon Kalamarias for another 3 years.
In August 2008, he joined Thrasyvoulos F.C. on a one-year contract.[1] Successive six-month spells with Diagoras F.C. and Anagennisi Karditsa F.C. would follow.
In July 2010, Wellington moved to Agrotikos Asteras F.C. on a two-year contract.[2]
