It was founded in 1938 and named after Thrasybulus, an ancient Athenial General who used Fyli as his base to liberate Attica from Sparta. They gained promotion to the Greek Super League for 2008–09. However, their inexperience caused relegation in their first season in Greek Super League.

El Thrasivoulos Filis FC es un club de fútbol de Fyli, Ática, que actualmente milita en la Gamma Ethniki. Fue fundado en 1938 con el nombre de Thrasybulus, un antiguo General que se asentó en Fyli como base para liberar a Atenas. Descendieron a la Beta Ethniki tras el acabar en el decimosexto lugar en la Super Liga de Grecia de la temporada 2008-09.

Датой основания клуба принято считать 1938 год[1]. Клуб был назван в честь Фрасибула, древнегреческого афинского государственного деятеля и полководца времён Пелопоннесской войны (431—404 гг. до н. э.).
