Biographie
Carrière en club
En 2003, il attaque sa carrière en SM-liiga avec le Jokerit Helsinki. Il est choisi en 2004 au cours du repêchage d'entrée dans la Ligue nationale de hockey par les Capitals de Washington, en 3e ronde en 66e position. En 2007, il rejoint l'Amérique du Nord. Il est assigné aux Bears de Hershey en ligue américaine. Le , il joue son premier match en LNH avec les Capitals.
Le , Lepistö est échangé aux Coyotes de Phoenix contre un choix de cinquième ronde au repêchage de 2010.
Le , une transaction l'amène avec Scottie Upshall aux Blue Jackets de Columbus contre Rostislav Klesla et Dane Byers.

Sami Lepistö (* 17. Oktober 1984 in Espoo) ist ein finnischer Eishockeyspieler, der seit Mai 2022 bei den SCL Tigers aus der Schweizer National League unter Vertrag steht und dort auf der Position des Verteidigers spielt.
