It will be the national stadium of the Ethiopia national football team. The stadium will have a capacity of 62,000 and will be built by the China State Construction Engineering. While the stadium itself will cover 37 hectares, development is planned around it, spanning across 60 hectares.[2][3][4]

Das Nationalstadion Addis Abeba (amharisch አዲስ አበባ ብሄራዊ ስታዲያም, auch Addis Ababa National Stadium, anderer Name Adey Adeba[1]) ist ein im Bau befindliches Mehrzweckstadion für Fußball, Rugby und Leichtathletik in Addis Abeba in Äthiopien. Der Bau liegt im Stadtteil Bole im Osten der Stadt in der Nähe des Flughafens und umfasst ein Gelände von rund 95.000 Quadratmetern.[2] Es soll nach Fertigstellung das 1940 eröffnete Addis-Abeba-Stadion im Zentrum ablösen, welches den FIFA-Standards nicht mehr entspricht.[1]
