Completed in 2013, it was the new home ground for Mersin İdman Yurdu, replacing the old Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium. It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2013 Mediterranean Games.[2] The all-seater stadium has the capacity to host 25,534[3] spectators during football games.[4]

Die Mersin Arena (auch bekannt als Mersin Olimpiyat Stadı) ist ein Fußballstadion im Stadtbezirk Yenişehir der türkischen Großstadt Mersin an der Mittelmeerküste. Der Fußballverein Mersin İdman Yurdu, aus der obersten Spielklasse Süper Lig, wechselte 2014 vom Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadı aus dem Jahr 1951 in die Sportstätte mit 25.497 Sitzplätzen.[1]
