Minerul Lupeni was a Romanian football club from Lupeni, Hunedoara County founded in 1920 and dissolved in 2011.

The club was founded in 1920 as Jiul Lupeni.[1] In the 1927–28 season he manages to win the Regional Championship of Divizia A and managing to reach the final of the competition, where lost in front of Colțea Brașov with 2–3.
Minerul played for four seasons in the Liga I during its long history, mostly playing in the Liga II and Liga III. In 1928 it won the silver medal at the final tournament, that was organised then as a cup.
During the 2010–11 Liga II season it withdrew from the championship because of lack of funds.[2] Thus another Romanian club with a long history being dissolved.
