Queensboro FC is an upcoming American professional soccer team based in the borough of Queens in New York City. It was funded and founded on November of 2019. Queensboro FC will make its debut in 2023 as an expansion team in the USL Championship.[5][6] Josep Gombau was named the team's first head coach and sporting director on July 6, 2020. Their start date was also moved from the 2021 season to the 2022 season, and later the 2023 season.[7][8]

On October 6, 2020, QBFC unveiled their official crest and color scheme.[9]

On June 8, 2022, head coach and sporting director Josep Gombau left to coach Odisha FC of the Indian Super League.[10]


Stadium


The club will play in a 7,500 seat stadium to be constructed on the campus of York College in Jamaica, Queens.[11]

On June 8, 2021, QBFC announced they would field a women's side to compete in 2022 as an original franchise in the new USL W League.[12]
