Storia


Il Budafok ha debuttato nella massima serie ungherese nella stagione 1945-1946, chiudendo al nono posto.[2]

Il 13 maggio 2017, il Budafok è stato incoronato campione della stagione 2016-2017 di Nemzeti Bajnokság III, ottenendo così la promozione per la stagione 2017-2018 in Nemzeti Bajnokság II.[3]

Il 29 giugno 2017 è stato annunciato che l'ex giocatore del club, Lóránt Oláh, ha assunto la carica di direttore sportivo.[4]

Nell'ottavo turno della Magyar Kupa 2018-2019, il Budafok è stato eliminato dal MOL Vidi.[5]

Nel 2020 il club è stato promosso automaticamente in Nemzeti Bajnokság I. A causa della pandemia di COVID-19, la Nemzeti Bajnokság II è stata inizialmente stoppata e infine sospesa nel maggio 2020. Al momento della sospensione era al secondo posto, venendo promosso quindi in massima serie.

Budafoki MTE (offiziell: Budafoki Munkás Testedző Egyesület; deutsch Arbeitersportverein Budafok) ist ein ungarischer Sportverein aus der Hauptstadt Budapest.[1] Heimat und Namensgeber des Vereins ist der XXII. Bezirk Budafok-Tétény, welcher bis zum Jahr 1950 eine eigenständige Gemeinde war, und anschließend in den westlichen Stadtteil Buda eingemeindet wurde. Die Farben des 1912 gegründeten Vereines sind Rot und Schwarz.
