Mario Ibáñez (27 July 1921 – 25 November 2004) was a Chilean footballer. He played in one match for the Chile national football team in 1942.[1] He was also part of Chile's squad for the 1942 South American Championship.[2]

Mario Francisco René Ibáñez Paredes (Valparaíso, 28 de julio de 1921-Ibidem, 25 de noviembre de 2004) fue un futbolista chileno que jugaba de arquero, fue considerado uno de los grandes metas de la década de 1940. Su único equipo fue el club Universidad de Chile. Es el hermano menor del conocido periodista Julio Alejandro Ibáñez Paredes.
