He participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics.[3] There he won a silver medal in the 12.5 km pursuit event as well as the gold in the relay.

Samuelsson has been outspoken on his views on the presence of doping in the sport, and has especially been critical of Russia and its anti-doping agency RUSADA.[4]

Summer biathlon

In August 2019, he became Swedish champion at the 10 kilometres sprint distance[5] and the 20 kilometres distance during the Swedish national summer biathlon championships in Sollefteå.[6]

Sebastian Samuelsson, né le 28 mars 1997 à Katrineholm, est un biathlète suédois, double médaillé olympique en 2018 (médaillé d'or avec la Suède en relais masculin, et deuxième de la poursuite en individuel) à l'âge de 20 ans. Il remporte sa première victoire en Coupe du monde lors de la saison 2020-2021 à Kontiolahti, puis devient lors de la même saison vice-champion du monde de la poursuite à Pokljuka.
