Biografia

Ha iniziato a praticare biathlon a livello agonistico nel 1999. In Coppa del Mondo ha esordito nel 2006 a Oslo Holmenkollen, ha conquistato il primo podio a Hochfilzen nel 2008 (terzo in staffetta) e la prima vittoria a Vancouver nel 2009, in individuale. Ai XXI Giochi olimpici invernali di Vancouver 2010 ha vinto l'oro nella 10 km sprint e il bronzo nella 12,5 km inseguimento.

Vincent Jay (born 18 May 1985) is a former French biathlete and non-commissioned officer.[1] During his career, he won two Olympic medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver - a gold in the sprint and a bronze medal in the pursuit. He was the first Frenchman to win an Olympic sprint Biathlon title. In the World Cup, he has fourteen podiums with two individual victories in Vancouver and two victories as part of relay teams.

Au cours de sa carrière, il a notamment remporté deux médailles olympiques aux Jeux olympiques de 2010 à Vancouver : un titre en sprint, devenant le premier Français à remporter un titre olympique sur ce format de course, et une médaille de bronze en poursuite. En Coupe du monde, il compte quatorze podiums dont deux victoires individuelles à Vancouver[Note 1] et deux victoires collectives en relais.
