SDYuShOR "Desna" (Ukrainian: СДЮШОР «Десна») is a Ukrainian sports school specialized in football with the Olympic Reserve status based in Chernihiv. The school serves as a youth academy of Desna Chernihiv the main club in the city.[1]

The club as established as a school serves as a youth academy of Desna Chernihiv the main club in the city. The All-Ukrainian children's football tournament has started in the Chernihiv region, the winners will attend the match Ukraine - France On August 13, the All-Ukrainian children's football tournament under the auspices of the Association "Ukraine is our home" started in the Chernihiv Oblast. The competition was held in three age categories: up to 10 years, 11–14 years and 15–18 years. The tournament started in Chernihiv on Friday, August 13, in the junior age category. Before the start of the competition, a grand opening took place, where football players and fans were greeted by the tournament organizers. On the first day, four children's teams of SDYuShOR Desna, Yunist Chernihiv, CYSS Priluki and FC Chernihiv competed for the victory. According to the results of the games in the junior age group, the team of Yunist Chernihiv won. The second place went to the team of FC Chernihiv, and the bronze medalist was CYSS "Pryluky". After the official award ceremony, participants and guests of the competition visited the Museum of Football History of Chernihiv region with an exhibition about the most famous graduate of SDYUSHOR "Youth" - Andriy Yarmolenko. On August 14, the matches of the 2nd game day in the senior age group were held on the football fields of Prilutsky CYSS. According to the results of the competition, the gold medals were won by the team of FC Desna, the silver medal was won by the team of CYSS "Pryluky-1", the bronze was won by CYSS "Pryluky-2". As part of the final game day, matches in the age category of 11-14 took place in Pryluky. The winner was the team of CYSS "Pryluky-2", silver medals were won by FC "Youth", and bronze - CYSS "Pryluky-1". In addition to cups and medals, each of the winning teams will have the opportunity in September to attend the selection match for the 2022 FIFA World Cup - Ukraine - France at the capital's NSC "Olympic", as well as matches of the Hockey Champions League.[2]
On 11 May 2022, the Pupils of SDYUSHOR Desna a group of 64 people from the Desna Sports School left Chernihiv went to Croatia for Split. Abroad, young athletes will receive comfortable living conditions, health and football. The management of the school expresses gratitude to the president of the UAF Andriy Pavelko and the chairman of the regional football association Gennady Prokopovich for organizing the trip. The departure was also facilitated by the former player of Shakhtar Donetsk and the Croatia national football team, Darijo Srna with clubs from the Premier and First Leagues.[3] The president of Desna Volodymyr Levin, informed in his facebook page that the Young football players of Desna who trained at the Desna Children's and Youth School before the war are now in Split, Croatia. Moreover, now children have the opportunity to continue training, "- said the head. Volodymyr Levin also emphasizes that all players were provided with sports uniforms - from training to games. 46 pupils of Desna and 6 from Yunost received new sets of Joma production. Among the immediate plans of Desna Sports School is the participation of young football players in competitions in Croatia.[4]
On 22 August 2022 The specialized children's and youth school of the Olympic reserve "Desna" is recruiting children born in 2016. In the future, all graduates of the school will get a chance to play big football in the youth teams of Desna FC in UPL.[5]
The team of the Desna Academy play in the Olympic sports training center "Chernihiv" (formerly Stadion Yuri Gagarin). The Stadion in Chernihiv was built in 1936 for 3,000 spectators in eastern portion of a city park (garden) that exists since 1804 and where previously was located residence of the Chernihiv Archbishops. During World War II, the Chernihiv Stadium was heavily damaged and in the 1950s was completely reconstructed, included stadium walls and two stands for 11,000 spectators. In 1961, it was named after the Russian Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. Here play also the main team FC Desna Chernihiv.[6]
Andriy Yarmolenko is one of the main player who was graduated in the city of Chernihiv first with SDYuShOR Desna then with Youth Sports School in Yunist Chernihiv.
